Job summary

FAS TRAC General Contractors Inc in Midlothian, VA seeks a dual-role Estimator/Project Manager to accurately estimate and bid service division projects and manage awarded work from pre-construction through completion.

You will coordinate field staff, schedule subcontractors, monitor budgets and schedules, ensure safety and quality, and maintain clear client communication to deliver profitable projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 2 years in estimating and project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, pricing, and scheduling.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with short turnaround times.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Trade background or field experience.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, site conditions, and plans to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Develop and prepare scope of work, solicit subcontractor/vendor pricing, and generate proposals.
• Maintain estimating tools, cost databases, and pricing history.
• Oversee awarded projects from pre-construction through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Conduct job walks, client meetings, and progress reports.
• Manage buyout items and permitting.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met.
• Manage change orders, RFIs, and project billing.
