Pancoast & Clifford, Inc. is looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to work directly out of our office in West Chester, PA. The position will involve all aspects of the estimating process, from receiving and understanding bid documents to preparing bids for submission to clients. This is a mid-level position and a great opportunity to join our growing team.

Qualifications & Basic Job Requirements

• BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5-10 years of experience in construction estimating and preconstruction conceptual budgeting.
• Ability to perform quantity take-offs from project drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe.
• Familiarity with specialized estimating/bid invitation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, organized manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review bid documents and determine the scope of work.
• Prepare bid documents, including Invitations to Bid and Scope of Work, for subcontractors.
• Request clarifications from clients regarding discrepancies or missing information.
• Review subcontractor proposals to ensure scope completeness and correct quantities.
• Develop bid budgets covering all project costs, including subcontractor bids, materials, equipment, general conditions, insurance, overhead, and profit margins.
• Submit complete and reviewed bids by deadlines.

Maintain accurate and updated project plans, specifications, correspondence, and estimating documentation related to projects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
