Headquartered in Orlando, FL, this remote position allows flexibility in location.

Position Overview

The Estimator's role is to develop competitive bids for profitable projects, focusing on military buildings, secure renovations, hangars, maintenance, operations, and mission-critical environments. Responsibilities include coordinating bid documents, labor and subcontractor pricing, project start-up, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate specifications, scope, and drawings; submit RFIs; understand project requirements.
• Perform accurate takeoffs and data analysis promptly.
• Attend site visits and bid meetings to gather and incorporate project data.
• Support estimate setup, schedule, and responsibility matrices.
• Understand contract documents and associated risks.
• Ensure subcontractors and vendors receive standard Terms and Conditions.
• Coordinate bid lists and solicit bids from subcontractors.
• Utilize BIM for quantity take-off and visualization.
• Participate in review meetings and evaluate subcontractor bids for scope gaps.
• Improve estimating templates and workflows.
• Collaborate with Contracts to address risks and issues.
• Negotiate costs, quality, and delivery in buyouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• US Citizen for security clearance requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• At least five years of relevant experience, with leadership in complex bids.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a broad business perspective.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, P6, HCSS, OST, AGTEK, and reading plans/specs.
