Qualifications

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive, detailed project cost estimates and proposals for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review and interpret technical construction blueprints, design drawings, and specifications to prepare cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to aid in estimation and bidding.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to provide advice on construction cost management.
• Analyze and evaluate subcontractor proposals and bids for fairness, accuracy, and completeness.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, cost fluctuations, and the local construction market to ensure the most accurate and competitive estimates.
• Prepare and present detailed reports or bids for clients and stakeholders.
• Manage and maintain all estimation documentation, including updating databases and tracking systems.
• Participate in negotiations and discussions with contractors and suppliers.
• Provide post-bid analysis on awarded projects and offer insights for future bidding strategies.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation or a related role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, schematics, and plans.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to create accurate, detailed estimates.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best prices and terms.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
