Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Estimator for commercial door, dock, and access-control projects in Michigan. You will review blueprints, perform material takeoffs, and develop accurate cost estimates to shape profitable bids before a tool is picked up.

You will collaborate with sales, project management, and field teams, track bid outcomes, and refine estimating accuracy as the branch grows. Prior estimating experience in construction or related trades and strong Excel skills are required; ERP/FSM

Estimator - Commercial Door & Dock Solutions

Salary: $30 - $50 per hour

Our client is a fast-growing operator in the commercial door, dock, and access-control space, handling everything from single-door repairs to full commercial installations across Michigan.

A Day in This Role

You start the day reviewing a set of plans for an upcoming commercial installation, working through a material takeoff. Mid-morning, you're on a call with the sales rep to align on scope before a proposal goes out. After lunch, you finalize pricing on a bid due that afternoon, then review a site-visit report from a technician to refine an estimate on a more complex repair job.
