  • Minimum 5 years of construction estimating experience.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding complex construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction costs and principles.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Prepare detailed project proposals and bids for submission to clients.
  • Evaluate commercial construction costs and conduct risk analysis.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing information.
  • Manage the bidding process, including the preparation of detailed take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Track and manage project deadlines to ensure timely completion of estimates.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of estimates.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on estimate progress.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in cost estimating techniques.

About us

We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. This role is integral to our business operations and will play a key role in the successful execution of our commercial landscape . The Permanent Estimator will be responsible for preparing and coordinating complete estimates for our projects, including analyzing bid documents and specifications, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and interfacing with clients and other construction professionals. This position requires a high level of accuracy, the ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
