Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is helping a Maryland general contractor find an Estimator who thrives in preconstruction and enjoys building strategic bids. The role focuses on accurate takeoffs, risk review, and collaborative teamwork in a growth-minded company.

You will prepare detailed estimates for commercial projects, review plans and specs, and work with project teams to ensure smooth hand-offs into construction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Sage, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and market pricing.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple deadlines with precision and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clear, detailed estimates for commercial construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and documents to develop accurate scopes
• Identify potential risks, value engineering options, and budget alignment opportunities
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor/vendor bids
• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and design partners
• Participate in hand-off meetings to ensure a smooth transition into construction
• Maintain cost history and help refine internal pricing strategies
