Job summary

Estimator position with CFS in Maryland seeks a detail-driven professional to develop clear, vetted estimates for commercial construction projects. You will review drawings, specifications, and documents to craft accurate scopes and drive budget alignment.

Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and design partners to identify risks and value engineering options, ensuring timely, competitive bids and successful hand-offs into construction.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Sage, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and market pricing.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines with precision and clarity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, not required.

  • Prepare clear, detailed estimates for commercial construction projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and documents to develop accurate scopes.

  • Solicit and analyze subcontractor/vendor bids.
