Job Details

• 1. Developing comprehensive, detailed project estimates and bids from blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• 2. Analyzing and comprehending project plans and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• 3. Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• 4. Conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
• 5. Reviewing material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• 6. Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• 7. Assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• 8. Maintaining a comprehensive database of current and accurate pricing information.

Qualifications

• 1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimation.
• 2. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• 3. Proven experience in project estimation, project bidding, and blueprint reading.
