Job summary

Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) seeks an Estimating Manager to lead the estimating function across all pursuits. You will own cost models, estimating systems, and pricing accuracy aligned with a manufacturing‑first operating model.

You will partner with Sales, Design, Manufacturing, Operations and Finance to ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and repeatable, blending hands‑on estimating with leadership, systems thinking, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
• 7–10+ years of progressive estimating experience in construction with leadership responsibility.
• Experience in volumetric modular, off-site manufacturing, design-build, or industrialized construction.
• Proven ability to lead complex estimates across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own the estimating function end-to-end, including standards, assumptions, cost structures, and deliverables.
• Lead, mentor, and develop estimating staff; set clear expectations for quality, accuracy, and cycle time.
• Establish estimating protocols by project type, design phase, and delivery model.
• Ensure consistent, defensible estimates aligned with company margin targets and risk posture.
• Support go/no-go decisions and pricing strategy in partnership with leadership.
