Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Des Moines, IA is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager 1 to prepare complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals, and to develop more economical ways to construct projects. You will deliver comprehensive estimates aligned with JE Dunn processes.

Collaborate with project teams, vendors and subcontractors, manage scopes of work, and support preconstruction with system analyses and procurement presentations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
3+ years estimating experience.
Preference for total of 5+ years construction experience.

Responsibilities

Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
Reads and outlines project specifications.
Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors.
Works collaboratively with project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
