Job description

A well-established national general contractor with a growing mission-critical and data center construction portfolio is looking to hire an Estimating Manager to lead preconstruction and estimating for data center projects across Virginia, including the Northern Virginia data center corridor.

This search is being run on a confidential basis - the client will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates.

The role:

• Lead estimating on data center / mission-critical projects from conceptual budgeting through GMP and bid submission
• Manage and mentor a team of estimators
• Partner with preconstruction, operations, and business development on pursuit strategy and win rates
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, MEP trades, and vendors specific to hyperscale/data center delivery
• Own quantity takeoffs, cost databases, and historical cost benchmarking for data center scopes

What we're looking for:

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, with direct data center or mission-critical project exposure
• Experience managing or mentoring estimating staff
• Strong command of estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Sage, Destini, or similar)
• Based in Virginia or willing to relocate
