Job summary

LeoForce in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead data center construction projects, including ground-up, core & shell, and interior fit-out work, with opportunities across Northern Virginia and the East Coast.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience in data centers, strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency with project management software, and PMP or equivalent certification is a plus. Travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of PM experience in construction, focused on data centers.
• Experience with ground-up, core & shell, mechanical, and fit-out for hyperscale data centers.
• Proficient in project management software and risk management.
• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

A bit about us:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a growing team focused on mission critical and data center construction projects. This position is based in the Fredericksburg, VA area, with opportunities and potential travel throughout Northern Virginia and the East Coast.

The ideal candidate will have experience successfully managing data center projects, with a background in core & shell construction, interior fit-out, or both.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and implementation of data center construction projects.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and schedules, and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, and manage project budget and project resource allocation.
• Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end, and delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, and proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on data center projects.
• Proven experience in ground-up construction, mechanical, Hyperscale Data Center, core & shell, mission critical, and interior fit-out projects.
• Experience with project execution, scheduling, and change orders.
• Proficient in project management software.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage, influence, and inspire a diverse team to achieve shared goals.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and manage project risks and issues.
• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
