Continental in Mount Vernon, IL is hiring a Health & Safety Specialist to support ESSH system development, governance, and compliance. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the ESSH framework, documenting processes, and coordinating audits and improvement initiatives.

The position requires an associate degree with at least 3 years of safety experience in manufacturing or heavy industry, U.S. work authorization, and no relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications include an associate's degree in safety/related field and 3 years of safety experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required and no relocation assistance is offered.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the ESSH Management System.
• Assist in development and administration of management system standards, procedures, tools, and governance practices.
• Coordinate management system reviews, assessments, and improvement initiatives.
• Help evaluate management system effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Support the standardization of ESSH management system practices across the organization.
• Maintain management system documentation and supporting records.

Education

Associate's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology or related field
