Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an ESS Project Manager to lead a portfolio of electronic security system projects for federal sites, based in Huntsville, AL with responsibilities spanning subcontracting, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

You will collaborate with the Johnson Controls Federal Systems team to ensure project delivery meets scope, cost, and quality targets while maintaining safety standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of direct project management experience in building construction or facilities maintenance (commercial/industrial).
• Technical competency with electronic security systems (EES) including scope evaluation, change orders, design and installation standards.
• Experience managing project financials (P&L) and the ability to obtain/maintain government security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution on assigned ESS projects, develop schedules and drive execution per plan.
• Manage selection, scope of work, procurement, quality and payment of project materials, vendors and subcontractors.
• Negotiate and issue subcontracts; ensure projects are on time, within budget, and within contract scope.
• Maintain safety compliance and communicate progress, risks, and financial status to leadership.
• Provide periodic status updates and forecasts for revenue, cost, and gross margin.
