Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an ESS Project Manager for our federal team based in Huntsville, AL. You will oversee a portfolio of electronic security projects at U.S. military and federal sites, coordinating schedules, budgets, and subcontractors.

The role requires security clearances and strong PM skills. As part of JCFS, you’ll support modernization of DoD facilities, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance while driving customer outcomes and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct project management in construction or facilities.
• Experience with electronic security systems and project financials.
• Ability to obtain government security clearances as needed.
• Experience managing multiple vendors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution, develop schedules and plans.
• Manage scope, procurement, subcontractors, and payments.
• Negotiate subcontracts and ensure on-time, on-budgets delivery.
• Ensure safety standards and contract compliance.
• Provide regular status updates and financial forecasts.
• Identify risks and implement recovery plans.
• Coordinate training and QA/QC activities.
• Maintain project documentation and communication with client.
