Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems seeks an ESS Project Manager to lead a portfolio of electronic security system projects for federal sites, including DoD and agency facilities. The role is based on-site in Huntsville, AL with travel to Minot AFB, ND, and requires coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to meet schedule, budget and quality goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct project management in building construction or facilities maintenance.
• Experience with commercial/industrial Electronic Security Systems including scope evaluation, change orders, basic design and installation standards.
• Experience managing project financials (P&L).
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution on assigned ESS projects; develop schedules and manage according to plan.
• Manage materials, vendors, subcontractors, scope, procurement, quality and payments.
• Negotiate and issue subcontracts.
• Ensure projects are on time, within budget and within contract scope.
• Enforce safety standards and health and safety requirements on site.
• Identify growth opportunities to meet customer outcomes.
• Ensure technicians and subcontractors meet standards and communicate services clearly.
• Complete timely project billing to maintain profitability and cash flow.
• Analyze financials and project schedules; report progress to leadership.
