Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an ESS Project Manager for our federal team. The role focuses on managing electronic security system projects for U.S. military and federal facilities, including access control, intrusion detection, and video management systems.

You will lead project execution across sites such as Huntsville, AL and Minot AFB, ND, coordinating subcontractors, materials, and documentation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct project management in buildings/facilities maintenance or related fields.
• Experience with electronic security systems (EES) including access control, intrusion, video systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution; develop schedules and manage scope, cost and timeline.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Manage subcontracts and contract changes; ensure safety and compliance.
• Monitor billing, profitability and cash flow; report progress to leadership.
• Coordinate customer training and deliverables; ensure documentation controls meet contract requirements.
• Identify and address project risks; drive process improvements and issue resolution.
