Job summary

Catholic Charities Boston is seeking an ESOL Teacher for its Adult Education and Workforce Development Division to deliver English instruction and advising to immigrant adults. You will develop up-to-date curricula and work with the Program Director to support student goals and progression.

The role trains across healthcare, human services, and IT pathways with flexible schedules, including distance learning options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in similar adult education or ESOL setting.
• Ability to work with diverse adult learners with varying English proficiency.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Classroom, and Zoom.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESOL to adult students with flexible weekday schedule.
• Assess students using BEST and TABE Class-E.
• Participate in staff development and collaborate with program team.
• Integrate technology and digital literacy into lessons.
• Maintain student records in agency reporting tools.
• Attend internal/external meetings and trainings; travel as needed.
