Catholic Charities of Boston's Adult Education and Workforce Development Division seeks an ESOL Teacher for a part-time role in Lynn, MA. You will provide English instruction, academic advising, and curriculum development aligned with student needs and DESE standards.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in education or related field, 3 years of teaching experience, and strong communication skills; schedule is Tue/Thu 9am–12pm with prep, staff meetings, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required (master’s preferred).
• 3+ years of teaching experience in a similar environment preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; culturally competent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Classroom, and Zoom preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESOL to adult students; levels/industry focus vary by class.
• Assess students (BEST and TABE Class-E) and provide ongoing feedback.
• Participate in staff development and ongoing professional growth.
• Integrate technology and digital literacy into curriculum.
• Develop daily lesson plans and curriculum materials.
• Maintain student records in agency reporting tools.
• Support access to other educational programs and resources.
• Attend meetings and trainings; local travel as needed.
