Catholic Charities of Boston is seeking an ESOL Teacher for a part-time role in Lynn, MA. You will deliver English language instruction, provide academic advising, and tailor curriculum to adult immigrant learners while collaborating with the Education Center team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field, or teaching certification and commensurate work experience; master's degree preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a similar environment strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of educational theory and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and compassionately in a culturally competent manner with students from diverse backgrounds and varying English skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESOL to adult students; levels vary by class and program.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of students (BEST and TABE Class-E).
• Participate in staff development and integrate technology in the curriculum.
• Provide classroom instruction and educational advising; develop daily lesson plans.
• Maintain student records in agency reporting tools; ensure confidentiality.
