Job summary

Rise Baking Company is seeking an ESG Project Manager in Minneapolis, MN to lead the development and implementation of an industry-leading ESG program aligning with sustainability and governance objectives. You will partner with Operations, HR, Quality, Legal, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, R&D and Finance to establish KPIs, report on environmental metrics, and advance governance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of related ESG/sustainability experience.
• Experience tracking, validating, and reporting sustainability data is required.
• Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the ESG strategy aligned with business goals.
• Track and report environmental metrics across facilities (energy, emissions, water, waste).
• Advance responsible sourcing, food safety, and animal welfare programs with Operations and Quality.
• Lead social responsibility initiatives, including employee wellbeing and diversity & inclusion.
• Establish governance policies and internal controls for ethical conduct and compliance.
• Coordinate ESG data collection across departments for internal and external reporting.
• Prepare ESG disclosures aligned with frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP).
• Monitor regulations and advise leadership on risks and opportunities.
• Support supplier engagement on sustainability expectations and codes of conduct.
• Educate employees on ESG goals and related tools.
