Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS lead to manage, implement, and maintain environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs for the bakery.

You will provide leadership in EHS compliance, drive continuous improvements, and serve as the SME for EHS data systems at the site. Responsibilities include regulatory inspections liaison, record-keeping, and cross-functional collaboration to increase safety and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental sciences or related field.
• CSP, OHST, STS or similar credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of ESS/EHS systems and programs.
• Conduct safety, environmental and sustainability inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Deliver training on regulatory and corporate safety standards to supervisors and workers.
• Act as the bakery's SME for EHS modules and interface with plant management and frontline employees.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections (OSHA, EPA) and manage response and abatement actions.
• Maintain records and reports for OSHA, EPA and other agencies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve Safety, Sustainability and Environmental processes.
