Gradus Management is seeking an experienced Escrow Operations Manager to oversee daily escrow operations and support a growing team in our San Diego office. The ideal candidate will have proven independent escrow industry experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for helping others thrive.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervise escrow staff and provide performance guidance.
  • Coordinate scheduling and time-card approvals.
  • Manage Qualia deployment and interface with IT/support.
  • Monitor daily escrow processes for compliance and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations.
  • Maintain open communication with staff and management.
  • Support regulatory audits and DFPI guidelines.
  • Coordinate team-building and promote morale.
  • Travel locally as needed.

Job description

Gradus Management is seeking an experienced and motivated Escrow Operations Manager to oversee daily escrow operations and support a dynamic, growing team in our San Diego office. The ideal candidate will have proven independent escrow industry experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for helping others thrive.

This is a key role focused on managing staff, maintaining operational efficiency, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Supervise escrow staff, providing guidance, support, and performance management
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinate staff scheduling for time off, vacation, sick leave and the floater calendar; review and approve time cards and process and approve commission/bonus calculation schedules
  • Technology Support: Manage the company’s Qualia deployment by interfacing with software support and users to maximize technology-based solutions; support additional technology deployments and enhancements
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor daily escrow processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline operations and enhance internal procedures
  • Follow-Up & Communication: Maintain open communication with staff and management, ensuring deadlines are met and issues are resolved promptly
  • Regulatory and Compliance: Support policy compliance; oversee internal and regulatory audits and DFPI guidelines
  • Company Culture: Coordinate team-building initiatives and company activities that promote morale and collaboration
  • Local Travel: Travel locally as needed to support company operations or attend meetings
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Prior experience in the escrow industry (and with a DFPI-regulated independent escrow company) is required
  • Management or supervisory experience (e.g., as a branch manager, area manager or escrow operations manager) is required
