Job summary

Tva Credit Union in Knoxville, TN seeks a detail-oriented Escrow Assistant to support mortgage operations. You will audit loan reports daily and maintain escrow accounts, updating insurance and property tax data as needed.

The role also handles insurance billing, force-placed coverage, policy accuracy, tax payments, and monthly analytics while ensuring compliance with credit union policies and excellent member service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years of clerical/administrative office experience, preferably in mortgage or escrow.
• Experience with mortgage/escrow processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audit new loan report daily.
• Maintain and track escrow accounts, including entering insurance and property tax amounts, and updating flood insurance if applicable.
• Pay insurance billing daily.
• Manage force-placed homeowners insurance accounts (billing, cancellations and refunds).
• Review homeowner’s insurance policies for accuracy.
• Submit property tax payments for all escrow accounts.
• Review, process and log insurance claim checks.
• Analyze reports monthly to ensure accuracy.
• Answer incoming phone calls and route accordingly.
• Review Escrow Analysis annually before mailing.
• Process payment corrections as needed.
• Manage and create insurance and tax codes as required.
• Review Rate Change Notices, Maturity Letters, and Payoff Congratulations Letters.
• Review deceased transfer requests.
• Audit lien releases as needed.
• Assist with Teams Help Channel, as needed.
• Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.
• Represent the Credit Union professionally.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• All other duties as assigned.
