Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Escrow Assistant in Florida to support the Financial Services Escrow Branch with the timely preparation of escrow files and coordination of closing transactions.

The ideal candidate will hold an associate degree or equivalent, with 6 months to 1 year of related experience, and demonstrate strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. The position requires accuracy and collaborative communication with lenders and agents.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills to coordinate closing documents and handle multiple files.
• Ability to communicate with lenders, buyers, and agents and to respond to inquiries professionally.
• Basic understanding of escrow processes and closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send opening letters and acknowledgements to parties
• Order title commitments and distribute to all parties
• Order payoff/assumption statements as requested
• Prepare receipts for funds from customers/lenders
• Order wire transfers and provide wiring instructions
• Prepare loan packages for return to lender
• Prepare simple cash and seller carryback pre-audits
• Assist branch manager with administrative tasks
• Coordinate closings and ensure documents are complete for recording
• Assist Closer/Escrow Officer with final policy disbursement
• Monitor inspection information and respond to inquiries
• Maintain filing and record-keeping responsibilities
