Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Escrow Assistant in Orlando, FL to support timely preparation of escrow files and ordering information for closings.

The role collaborates with lenders, title companies, and internal teams to ensure accurate documentation and smooth closings. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent and strong organizational skills, customer focus, and attention to detail for preparing letters, payoff statements, and closing packages across counties.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to prepare and send opening letters and acknowledgements to all parties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send opening letters and “thank you” acknowledgements to all parties.
• Order title commitments and distribute to all parties.
• Order and update payoff/assumption statements as requested.
• Prepare receipts for all funds received from Customers and/or lenders.
• Order wire transfers and provide wiring instruction.
• Clear title requirements.
• Prepare loan packages for return to lender.
• Assist branch manager with administrative tasks as requested.
• Open refinance orders.
• Receive builder report, order survey, contact the lender, obtain hazard insurance, enter basic order information on automated system, obtain HOA information, schedule and coordinate times for closings.
