Job summary

Brown County Abstract is seeking an Escrow Assistant in Brownwood, TX to support escrow operations and help real estate transactions move smoothly from contract to close.

You’ll prepare closing documents, coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents, balance files, schedule closings, obtain HOA information, and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, detail-oriented in-office environment with a collaborative team and room to grow.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in title, escrow, real estate, or lending is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent typing and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Review files for inspections, insurance, bills, tax certificates, and other docs.
• Build settlement statements and assist with balancing files.
• Schedule closings with all parties involved.
• Obtain HOA information and order payoff statements.
• Prepare wire requests and closing packages for buyers and sellers.
• Complete and maintain 1099 information and related documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the closing process.
