Job summary

Sigma Earth is seeking a technically skilled professional to join our waste management team in the United States. You will engage with clients to understand needs, propose compliant disposal and treatment options, and prepare detailed technical reports.

Job description

Principal Responsibilities
  • Technical troubleshooting: Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support organizational goals by applying expertise in waste treatment and disposal services.
  • Client engagement: Communicate proactively with clients to understand their technical needs, provide tailored solutions, and maintain satisfaction through regular follow-up and support.
  • Waste solution consulting: Meet with clients to discuss waste management options, review laboratory results and safety data sheets, and prepare detailed technical reports.
  • Regulatory review: Evaluate the application of hazardous waste regulations, support waste classification, and ensure compliance with transportation requirements.
  • Treatment evaluation: Collaborate with internal teams to assess appropriate treatment and disposal options for different waste streams.
  • Sales support: Work closely with the sales team to develop solutions that meet customer needs while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Technical assessment: Conduct technical evaluations, support interdepartmental communication, maintain customer pricing records, and contribute to customer retention and business growth.

  • Relationship building: Ability to build strong working relationships with associates, managers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Accuracy and detail: High attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies, trends, and patterns in data.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Strong understanding of RCRA laws and regulations related to waste characterization, treatment, processing, and transportation.
  • Waste characterization expertise: Knowledge of waste analysis, evaluation methods, processing protocols, DOT transportation regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Documentation review: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, technical procedures, safety data sheets, and government regulations.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-solving ability: Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Business and math skills: Good understanding of business math, geometry, and basic accounting processes.
  • Technology skills: Ability to use computer systems for communication, data collection, documentation, and reporting.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities effectively.
  • Teamwork and independence: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
