Job summary

Sigma Earth in the United States (KY Northern) is seeking an experienced Operations professional to manage HHW collection events and related admin tasks. You will coordinate billing, inquiries, and post-project follow-up while ensuring safety and compliance across activities.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practices at all times.
• Manage job-related administrative activities, including billing, collections, customer inquiries, and post-project follow-up.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection events.
• Engage directly with customers to address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure a positive service experience.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and support.
• Support the Technical Services General Manager in achieving billing and revenue objectives.
• Serve as the primary link between sales and operations teams, ensuring projects are executed according to customer expectations and contractual requirements.
• Review accounts receivable reports regularly and assist with collection activities when necessary.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve pricing structures, profitability, and business performance across service lines.
• Prepare detailed work order documentation and clearly communicate project requirements to CleanPack and Logistics Coordinators.
• Verify that all required contracts, purchase orders, and authorizations are in place before project commencement.
• Conduct project kickoff meetings with field teams and monitor execution to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
• Maintain and update customer databases, tracking systems, and CHES-related records.
• Participate in compliance, operational, and safety meetings to remain informed of current requirements and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state/provincial, and federal regulations.
• Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with DOT and other regulatory requirements.
• Follow corporate environmental, health, safety, and operational procedures at all times.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial management, logistics coordination, customer service, account management, sales, or related fields.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations, waste management services, business development, revenue growth strategies, and market expansion practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Ability to perform job-related physical activities as required.
• Successful completion of background screening, drug testing, and medical evaluation where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Technical Services Expertise

• Waste Disposal: Management and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste through approved treatment, storage, and disposal facilities.
• Recycling Solutions: Recovery, recycling, reclamation, and reuse of materials including chemicals, solvents, oils, and electrical equipment.
• Chemical Packing Services: Safe identification, packaging, transportation, and disposal of a wide variety of chemicals, including reactive substances and compressed gases.
• Household Hazardous Waste Programs: Coordination and execution of HHW collection events and programs of varying scales, supported by trained environmental professionals.
