Position Summary

This role is responsible for supporting the safe collection, identification, handling, packaging, and transportation preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at client facilities. The position also involves spill response activities, waste management support, regulatory compliance tasks, and general operational responsibilities to ensure environmental and safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and transport waste materials from various locations throughout customer facilities while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Perform chemical bulking and consolidation activities to optimize waste storage, handling, and disposal processes.
• Package, label, and prepare hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and company procedures.
• Participate in spill response and emergency cleanup activities as needed to ensure safe and effective incident management.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, sweepers, pallet jacks, and other site equipment as required.
• Inspect drums and waste containers to verify structural integrity, proper labeling, and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Coordinate and support the safe loading and unloading of waste transportation vehicles.
• Conduct waste stream sampling, characterization, and profiling to ensure proper handling, treatment, and disposal methods are applied.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to waste management activities and operational procedures.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support site operations and environmental compliance objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating both heavy and light material-handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar machinery.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools, shop equipment, and monitoring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license, if required for the position.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in hazardous waste management, environmental services, industrial operations, chemical handling, or a related field.
• Ability to successfully complete 40-hour HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) training upon hire.
