Job summary

Bechtel is hiring a Project Safety Trainer to deliver construction safety training at the Winnemucca, NV site. A valid driver’s license and OSHA 30 certification are required; training may be performed at multiple locations on the project, with relocation available.

You will build and revise core curricula, mentor junior trainers, and coordinate classes, instructors, facilities, and schedules to ensure comprehensive, compliant safety education across the project team.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Experience developing core training curriculum for construction or related industry employees.
• Experience delivering safety training and orientation programs.
• Ability to mentor junior training facilitators and ES&H representatives.
• Current US driver’s license required for multi-location training.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ES&H and Construction on craft training development and revision.
• Coordinate skills verification, apprenticeship mentoring, and gap analysis.
• Supervise project trainers and craft evaluators.
• Guide trainers and evaluators across craft levels including Foreperson positions.
• Oversee assessments of direct-hire craft.
• Plan and maintain training facility layout, resources, and setup.
• Coordinate classes, facilities, times, and instructors; monitor evaluations.
• Collect, assemble, and analyze training data and report to site and Labor Relations management.
