Job summary

Harder Mechanical Contractors is seeking a Project Safety Trainer to join the corporate safety team at a rural lithium mine in northern Nevada. The role focuses on site safety training, program development, and document control support with a heavy emphasis on safety standards application.

Ideal candidates will have OSHA certifications, 3–5 years of experience, and strong teamwork. The position requires a non-remote work setup and a demanding schedule with two 60-hour weeks followed by a 50-hour

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in safety
• 3+ years as a safety instructor
• OSHA certifications as listed above

Responsibilities

• Provide safety training and incident prevention on site
• Perform frequent onsite inspections as on-site Competent Person
• Oversee new hire safety training program
• Support project management and field supervision to ensure safe work
• Lead toolbox talks and site safety education activities
• Develop Activity Hazard Analyses for major work processes
• Conduct PPE assessments and recommend risk mitigations
• Investigate incidents to determine root causes and actions
