Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Project Safety Trainer for the Winnemucca, NV on-site project. The role focuses on delivering and improving craft safety training across locations, coordinating curricula, and mentoring junior trainers.

A strong background in construction safety and hands-on training is required, with travel to multiple sites. Expect collaboration with ES&H and Operations teams and involvement in training facility management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (or international equivalent) with 5–8 years relevant experience, or 9–12 years total.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Experience developing core training curricula for construction/related industry.
• Hands-on delivery of safety training and orientation programs.
• Ability to mentor junior trainers and ES&H reps.
• Prior construction trades experience is advantageous.
• Current US driver's license for multi-location training.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ES&H and Construction to develop and implement craft training.
• Coordinate skills verification and mentor apprentices.
• Supervise project trainers and craft evaluators.
• Guide trainers/evaluators for training across Foreperson levels.
• Oversee capability assessments of direct hire craft.
• Manage project training facility layout, resources, setup, maintenance.
• Coordinate classes, instructors, times, and evaluations.
• Collect, analyze training data and report to site management.
• Perform other duties within capability.
