Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Project Safety Trainer to deliver training programs in a Construction environment, potentially across multiple locations. A valid driver’s license is required as training activities may occur at various sites.

Preferred candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and 5–12 years of relevant experience, OSHA 30 certification, and proven ability to develop and deliver core safety curricula and mentor junior trainers.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
• Requires OSHA 30 certification.
• Previous experience in developing core training curriculum for Construction or related industry employees.
• Hands-on experience in effective delivery of industry safety training and orientation programs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ES&H and Construction groups on developing, revising and implementing craft training.
• Coordinate skills verification, apprentice mentoring, identification and rectification of skill gaps.
• Supervise project trainers and/or Craft evaluators.
• Provide guidance to Craft Trainers and Evaluators for training to all levels of Craft including Foreperson and General Foreperson.
• Oversee capability assessments of direct hire Craft.
• Responsible for project training facility layout, resource allocation, set-up and maintenance.
• May participate in selection of evaluators/trainers.
• Coordinate and monitor classes, instructors, facilities, class times, participants and instructor evaluations on each project.
• Collect, assemble, and analyze training data and provide reports to site and Labor Relations management.
