Job summary

AK Pizza Crust is seeking a Business Analyst to independently evaluate processes, document requirements, and drive ERP and discovery efforts across a food manufacturing operation with six plants in Wisconsin. You will work with plant staff, department leaders, and vendors to turn business needs into practical solutions and support ERP and EDI initiatives.

Qualifications

Associate degree in business, information systems, operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Three to five years of relevant experience in business analysis, business systems, or process improvement, with demonstrated ability to manage assignments independently.
Meaningful participation in at least one ERP implementation or major upgrade, including requirements gathering and testing, data preparation, or user training.
Manufacturing experience strongly preferred; food manufacturing and experience supporting multiple plants are especially valuable.
Ability to lead requirements discussions, investigate root causes, challenge existing practices constructively, and make clear, practical recommendations.
Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities, follow through, and recognize when escalation is needed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with plant employees, department leaders, and technical partners.
Strong Excel skills and experience reviewing, validating, and reconciling business data.
Experience with Business Central or another ERP preferred. EDI, Power BI, process mapping, and AI or automation experience are helpful.

Responsibilities

Independently plan and conduct interviews, working sessions, and plant observations to understand processes, business needs, and root causes of problems.
Document current and proposed workflows, business requirements, process gaps, and acceptance criteria. Validate findings with the employees and leaders responsible for the work.
Compare practices across plants and departments, recommend common processes where practical, and document necessary operational differences.
Evaluate alternatives, quantify expected benefits where practical, and recommend solutions that reduce manual effort, errors, delays, and unnecessary complexity.
Own assigned discovery activities, requirements documentation, and follow-up with department leaders, plant teams, and ERP vendors.
Gather and prioritize requirements across purchasing, inventory, production, scheduling, warehousing, costing, finance, and other business functions.
Document food manufacturing requirements such as recipes and bills of material, ingredient consumption, lot traceability, yields, waste, shelf life, units of measure, and quality holds.
Develop test scenarios, coordinate user acceptance testing, track defects, and verify that changes meet agreed requirements before release.
Manage assigned projects and workstreams, maintaining clear scope, priorities, milestones, dependencies, decisions, and action items.
Independently investigate ERP, EDI, and related system issues; determine business impact, identify likely causes, and coordinate resolution with technical resources or vendors.
Create and maintain clear procedures, process maps, job aids, and user instructions that reflect how work is performed.
Plan and deliver training for assigned changes, provide follow-up support, and confirm that users can apply updated processes.
Identify and evaluate practical AI and automation opportunities; define expected benefits and validate results using company-approved tools and data practices.
