Job summary

Gray Matter Logic is seeking an ERP Operations & Manufacturing Consultant to lead ERP implementations in manufacturing environments. You will drive design of operational workflows, translate business requirements into scalable ERP configurations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, planning, procurement, and quality.

The role emphasizes hands-on ERP work, data migration, and process improvement across shop floor, inventory, and master data.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is required.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, production planning, or operational processes.
2+ years of ERP functional experience (Odoo, Acumatica, IFS, NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics, Oracle).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing workflows (made-to-order, made-to-stock, configure-to-order, discrete/process).
Experience with BoM/routings/MRP, capacity planning, inventory control.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead operations and manufacturing workstreams during ERP implementations from discovery to deployment.
Analyze processes across production, planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and quality to optimize workflows.
Configure ERP modules such as Manufacturing, Inventory, BoM, MRP, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Shop Floor Control.
Develop future-state designs, specifications, and SOPs.
Support data migration including cleansing, transformation, and validation of data (BoMs, routings, inventory).
Collaborate with project teams to ensure integration between operations, finance, and sales.
Conduct user training for planners, buyers, production managers, warehouse teams, and quality personnel.
Provide post-go-live support and ensure adoption of new processes.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in configurations and methodologies.
Advise clients on manufacturing best practices, Lean concepts, and KPIs.
