Job summary

VPE Thermal in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Scheduler to develop and fully implement the transition of an ERP system. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to support ERP engagement processes, tune output reports with scheduling, and data mine to supplement standard ERP reports.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing scheduling, AA degree, and strong coordination across Sales, Production and Quality to ensure materials and capacity meet production milestones.

Qualifications

• AA degree in Business or related field; two to five years Scheduler experience.
• Minimum five years’ experience in Manufacturing.
• Minimum eight years’ experience in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports conflicts with material and capacity availability and order-promising integrity.
• Daily status department schedule demands against commitments and milestones; maintain ERP schedules and identify bottlenecks.
• Schedules for raw materials, component purchases, and services according to demand and release dates.
• Plans, schedules, and releases Production WIP travelers according to time allocations and available resources.
• Provides delivery dates to support sales, order acknowledgement, and project start-up; signals over allocated work centers.
• Fosters reports and clear communication between Sales, Production, and Quality to maintain milestones.
• Works with sales and operations to provide timely feedback regarding schedule change requests.
• Establishes a working line of communication with all company functions.
• Reviews, identifies, and resolves material shortages and notifies the party responsible.
