Job summary

Vitesse Systems, headquartered in Jessup, MD, is seeking a Production Planner / Scheduler to establish and coordinate production schedules and ensure the smooth flow of materials and assemblies between departments.

The role requires capacity planning, ERP/MRP scheduling experience, and familiarity with Epicor, with a strong focus on meeting delivery commitments and optimizing production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited technical program or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read drawings and inspect the work.
• Experience with capacity planning.
• Experience with ERP / MRP scheduling systems.
• Experience with Epicor.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor the flow of work through the manufacturing process.
• Coordinate with management in creating and updating jobschedules.
• Create and manage/track production work orders.
• Prepare reports and analysis for Supply Chain Manager/Program Manager.
• Provide management with visibility of inventory related issues.
• Monitor status of all parts and jobs and adjust the production schedule to ensure 100% on-time deliveries.
• Analyze future orders with respect to capacity planning and maintain capacity data.
• Create/collect and develop manufacturing metrics.
• Assist with outsourcing manufacturing work when required.
