Job summary

A growing custom manufacturer is seeking a Production Planner to help build and standardize its production planning process. This role offers visibility and close collaboration with Operations to improve scheduling and support an ERP implementation.

You will develop schedules, manage BOMs, interpret drawings, and coordinate multiple operations to optimize throughput and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in Production Planning or similar manufacturing role.
• Strong understanding of how work flows through a production facility.
• Experience creating or working with Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Comfortable interpreting drawings and performing dimensional calculations.
• Familiarity with CNC machining, saw operations, setup time, cycle time, or manufacturing equipment.
• ERP experience preferred; Epicor experience is not required.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to work within Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedules that support customer delivery commitments.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for both standard and custom products.
• Interpret drawings and perform dimensional calculations to support custom manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate production through multiple manufacturing operations, including sawing, CNC machining, assembly, and packaging.
• Work closely with Operations to monitor schedule performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve production flow.
• Help standardize manufacturing processes as the company transitions from manual scheduling to Epicor ERP.
• Communicate production priorities across multiple departments to keep work moving efficiently.
