Job summary

MMG Financial Advisory seeks a Corporate Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting, partnering with executive leadership while guiding a small team of two. You will drive GAAP compliance, internal controls, and the build-out of a modern finance function as the firm integrates a new ERP system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with Controller or Director of Finance responsibilities.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including GAAP, reporting, consolidations, and multi-entity accounting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial modeling, and profitability analysis.
• Experience leading and developing accounting or finance teams.
• Internal controls, policies, and processes knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Operational financial reporting and KPIs experience.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations including GL, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate on advisory initiatives requiring financial modeling and CFO-level insights.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism handling sensitive information.
• Present monthly reporting packages, KPIs, and variance analysis to CEO and leadership.
• Develop models, dashboards, and scenario analyses for strategic decisions.
• Support due diligence for acquisitions and strategic transactions.
• Provide financial guidance on growth, pricing, resource allocation, and profitability.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance in coordination with specialists.
• Support post-acquisition integration and systems alignment.
