Job summary

Briess Malt & Ingredients Co. is seeking an ERP & Business Process Specialist to support the IT and ERP Senior Manager in optimizing Briess core business systems, primarily Dynamics 365 Business Central and Aptean Food & Beverage.

You will serve as the go-to ERP contact across Purchasing, Sales, Production, Quality, Planning, Logistics, Finance and Inventory Control. The role emphasizes documenting current processes, designing improvements with business owners, and implementing changes within

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, MIS, Business, Accounting, Supply Chain or related field.
• Strong proficiency with business systems and Microsoft applications.
• Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL, relational database concepts and data modeling, with the ability to validate and reconcile data across systems.
• Experience with a manufacturing ERP is strongly preferred, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in a food or process manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, Fabric and DAX is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience documenting and improving business processes, including process mapping and writing SOPs.
• Experience leading training and change management for system or process changes across multiple departments

Responsibilities

• Learn existing functionality across ERP modules with emphasis on operations.
• Evaluate new and existing functionality and recommend process improvements based on business value, effort, control impact and user adoption.
• Gain understanding of Briess business processes, manufacturing environments and food-specific requirements.
• Identify opportunities where business applications reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, strengthen controls and shorten cycle times.
• Manage new user setup, licensing and permissions.
• Respond to daily user questions and issues to minimize workflow disruptions.
• Research, troubleshoot, test and implement solutions to issues.
• Monitor system performance and external integrations.
• Escalate issues to IT/ERP Senior Manager and to Aptean or other partners and manage tickets to resolution.
• Maintain user access, roles and permissions with segregation of duties and review requirements.
• Facilitate requirements sessions, document current and future state processes, and lead testing and user acceptance.
• Assist with scoping, testing, deployment and maintenance of configurations and customizations.
• Confirm and report realized benefits of changes against success criteria.
