ERP & Business Process Specialist

Full-time Regular Chilton, WI, US

JOB SUMMARY:

The ERP & Business Process Specialist supports the IT and ERP Senior Manager in the support, enhancement and upgrade of Briess’s core business systems, with primary responsibility for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Aptean Food & Beverage. This role is the day-to-day point of contact for ERP issues and requests across Purchasing, Sales, Production, Quality, Planning, Logistics, Finance and Inventory Control. Beyond system support, the role is expected to document how work is performed today, design improved processes with the business owner, and implement those improvements in the system so the process, the controls and the data all live inside the ERP rather than in spreadsheets and manual workarounds. The role also supports integrations with CRM, Transportation Management (TMS), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Power Platform and approved reporting and automation tools, and executes the approved IT project portfolio priorities.

This role will be located at our Chilton WI location.

Build and execute documented test plans, track defects, coordinate user acceptance testing and obtain business owner sign-off prior to deployment. Lead training and change management sessions to facilitate successful user adoption.
  • Assist with the scoping, testing, deployment and maintenance of configurations, extensions and customizations, favoring standard functionality wherever practical to limit upgrade risk and long-term cost.
  • Confirm and report the realized benefit of each implemented change against the success criteria agreed at the start of the project.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & INTERNAL CONTROLS
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to move manual, spreadsheet based and paper-based processes into the ERP or an approved Microsoft 365 workflow, including accounts payable, expense, purchasing and capital request processes.
  • Design processes so that approval thresholds, routing and audit trails are enforced by the system rather than by manual follow up.
  • Support master data governance for items, vendors, customers, BOMs and costing data, including standards, ownership and periodic review.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by producing system evidence such as approval history, access records and configuration documentation.
UPGRADE MANAGEMENT
  • Support monthly SaaS upgrade cycles with research and testing of new features.
  • Monitor and manage extension versions and release notes.
