Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Overland Park, KS seeks experienced Veterinary Technicians for a fast-paced Emergency and Critical Care department. You will assist in anesthesia, triage emergencies, and provide care for critically ill pets.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, IV placements, radiography, and teaching junior staff. A strong commitment to pet health and client support is essential, with a focus on compassionate care in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in emergency and critical care
• Passion for caring for critically ill or injured patients
• Possess strong mentoring and client communication skills
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship in the future

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia and use monitoring equipment
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning
• Understand normal vital sign ranges and adjust care
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central lines
• Mentor and train co-workers
• Demonstrate empathy when addressing client concerns
