BluePearl Pet Hospital in Lafayette, CO is seeking experienced Full-Time ER Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. The role offers variable shifts with day, evening, overnight coverage, and a competitive hourly rate.

The ideal candidate will handle anesthesia, triage emergencies, radiography, vital sign monitoring, CPR, venous access, and supportive care while mentoring teammates and ensuring high-quality patient care for critically ill pets.

Qualifications

• Experience as an ER Veterinary Technician in a busy hospital setting.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and use anesthesia equipment.
• Proficiency in digital radiography and patient positioning.

Responsabilités

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Triage emergencies and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Initiate CPR for at-risk patients and assist team.
• Administer medications and conduct medical math calculations.
• Place IV catheters and manage peripheral vessels.
• Place feeding tubes and central lines as needed.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Demonstrate empathy to address client concerns.
