Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Veterinarian to join our team. You will handle emergencies, perform surgeries and endoscopic procedures, and educate clients. The role emphasizes mentorship, continuous learning, and a patient-centered, fast-paced ER environment.

Strong DVM degree and emergency medicine experience are required. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be included based on hospital needs.

Qualifications

• A DVM or equivalent degree is required.
• Emergency medicine experience is essential, including surgery and endoscopy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused ER environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone and on-site.
• See and treat emergency patients, including exotics as needed.
• Perform surgeries and endoscopic procedures as part of the team.
• Educate clients on diagnosis, treatment options, and aftercare.
• Prepare estimates and maintain accurate medical records.
