Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Veterinarian to provide high‑level emergency care in a fast‑paced environment. You will handle a broad spectrum of cases, including routine emergencies and complex surgeries, with support from a mentorship‑driven team and VEG Education resources.

As a hospital leader on the floor, you will diagnose, treat, and communicate options to clients, while expanding your skills in endoscopy and advanced diagnostics.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree.
• Live and breathe emergency medicine, including emergency surgery and endoscopy.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Able to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients immediately as part of the VEG Triage and VEG Spikes.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and exam.
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Create and communicate diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Perform surgeries and endoscopic procedures.
• Educate customers on aftercare and follow-up.
