Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Veterinarian to join our open-concept, 24/7 ER network. You’ll handle a wide range of emergencies, including exotic patients, while benefiting from mentorship and ongoing CE through VEG Education programs.

As a leader on the hospital floor, you’ll work with a supportive team, manage diagnostic plans, perform surgeries, endoscopy, and provide clear communication with clients about treatments and costs.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Experience in emergency medicine, including surgeries and endoscopy.
• Team-oriented mindset with ability to work in a busy ER.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone and triage patients.
• See patients immediately, manage emergencies and exotic cases.
• Create diagnostic plans, discuss options with clients, and prepare estimates.
• Perform minor and major emergency surgeries and endoscopy.
• Educate clients on aftercare and prevention.
