Advocate Health seeks an Emergency Department support technician in Burlington, WI. This part-time role (24 hours per week) supports physicians and nurses with phlebotomy, patient transport, wound care, and monitor setup.

Must have basic EHR skills and a current healthcare credential such as Nurse Aide or EMT, with BLS within six months. The position requires lifting and assisting with patient care while maintaining safety standards and professional communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; various clinical licenses may be accepted (Nurse Aide, EMT, or Medical Assistant) with BLS within 6 months.
• Typically requires 1 year of related healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of basic computer systems and electronic health records (EHR) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and RNs with phlebotomy, patient transport, wound care, and Foley catheter placement.
• May perform IV starts where permitted by state regulations.
• Document procedures in the EHR and communicate observations to the nurse.
• Process daily patient charges and related procedures in the EHR.
• Coordinate communications and support patient care across departments.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure proper safety protocols.
