Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Burlington, WI is seeking a part-time Emergency Department teammate to support physicians and nurses in delivering patient-centered care. Duties include phlebotomy, patient transport, wound care, and monitoring using cardiac and vital sign equipment.

Duties extend to charting in the EHR and coordinating communications with team members. The position requires a High School Diploma, 1 year of experience, and appropriate licensure (Nurse Aide or EMT) with BLS certification

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry, or EMT Basic license (national or state).
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with BLS certification within 6 months if required by department.
• Typically requires 1 year experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and RNs with phlebotomy, patient transport, wound care, and basic patient care.
• Monitor patients with cardiac and vital signs equipment; initiate IVs where allowed.
• Document procedures and promptly communicate observations to the RN.
• Process daily patient charges and related procedures through the EHR; coordinate communications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with equipment maintenance.
